What modalities do you use? I use Swedish massage as a framework to incorporate other modalities into. I use tecniques depending on how appropriate they are for a particular condition. I mainly mix elements of Myofascial Release, Thai Yoga Massage, and Deep Tissue.

Do you perform Deep Tissue work? Yes. I integrate Deep Tissue work in my sessions whenever I find a body part that needs it. Deep Tissue work is usually unpleasant and sometimes a little painful, please let me know if you want me to refrain from using these techniques. If, instead, you want a Swedish full body massage with a lot of pressure, please do let me know as well, and I will be glad to accomodate you.

Do you offer discounts/sliding scale? Yes, please take a look at my pricing page.

What lotions/oils do you use? I use Jojoba Oil. This oil is very close to the skin's own oil, so it is hypoallergenic, absorbs quickly, and leaves the skin soft and nourished. It also is a perfect carrier for the Essential Oils that I mix in with it. I often use Essenital Oils for their therapeutic benefits: some are perfect for relaxation, others are invigorating, and others still help to reduce inflammation and speed up healing. If you have allergies or other special needs, please let me know.

What training do you have? I have completed a 550-hour course at the New School for Massage, Bodywork and Healing. I am nationally certified by the NCTMB.

Are you licensed? I hold a license to practice Massage Therapy issued by the State of Illinois.

Do you carry liability insurance? Yes, I am covered by my professional association, the ABMP.

Can I come and visit your studio before booking an appointment? Absolutely. Just give me a call or drop me a line, and we can arrange a brief visit. You can, of course, bring someone along.

Do you make housecalls/outcalls? Will you come to my home? Yes. I do charge at least $30 extra to come out to you, and some discounts do not apply.
